1. Campaign Editor Overview

Explanation
This screen is the main editing area for a Cart Goal campaign. It shows the campaign name, current status, save button, configuration sections, and a live preview of how the progress bar will appear to customers inside the cart drawer.
How to use this screen
Start from the Goals & rewards section because this defines what customers must do and what reward they will receive. After the milestones are created, move to Content to customize the customer-facing messages, then set Targeting & priority and Settings before saving the campaign.
Important controls
The right panel lets the merchant keep the campaign Active or inactive and update the campaign name. The preview area helps confirm that the progress bar and reward labels are displaying correctly before the setup is saved.

2. Goals & Rewards Setup

Explanation
The Goals & rewards section is where the merchant chooses what the campaign will track and then adds milestone-based rewards. The campaign can track either total cart value or product quantity, depending on the store strategy.
Milestones
Each milestone has a target value and a reward type. In the example, the first goal unlocks a free product at $50, the second goal unlocks an order discount at $100, and the third goal unlocks free shipping at $150.
Reward types
The available reward types are Free product, Order discount, and Free shipping. After selecting a reward type, the merchant should complete all required settings for that reward. If a required setting is missing, the editor shows a warning, such as selecting at least one free product.
Preview behavior
The preview panel on the right updates as goals are added. This allows the merchant to check the order of goals, the labels below the progress bar, and the message that tells customers how much more they need to add to unlock the next reward.

3. Content Section

Explanation
The Content section controls the text and message structure shown around the cart progress bar and offer page. It is used to adjust the wording without changing the actual reward logic.
Progress bar display
The slider controls how many goals are shown at one time in the progress bar. This helps keep the cart drawer clean when there are multiple milestones.
Edit content by goal
Each goal has its own expandable content area. Expanding Goal 1, Goal 2, or Goal 3 opens a text editor where the merchant can customize messages before and after the reward is achieved.

4. Edit Texts for Goal 1 - Free Product

Explanation
This popup controls all customer-facing text for the Free Product milestone. The merchant can customize the message above the progress bar, the message below the progress bar, and the content shown on the offer page.
Before and after goal messages
The before-goal text should encourage customers to add more to their cart, for example: “Add {{goal}} more to get Free Gift with this order.” The after-goal text should confirm that the reward has been unlocked, for example: “Congratulations! You have unlocked Free Gift!”
Offer page content
The offer page title and subtitle should clearly explain the unlocked free gift. The same Free Gift title can be used before achievement and after the post-application CTA so the reward remains easy to understand.
Dynamic variable
The {{goal}} variable automatically displays the remaining amount needed to reach the milestone. Merchants should keep this variable in the text when they want the message to update dynamically based on the customer cart value.

5. Edit Texts for Goal 2 - Order Discount

Explanation
This popup controls the text used for the Order Discount milestone. It is designed for campaigns where customers unlock a percentage or fixed discount after reaching a target cart value or quantity.
Discount messaging
The before-goal message should explain how close the customer is to unlocking the discount. The after-goal message should confirm that the discount has been unlocked and should include the discount value where relevant.
Dynamic variables
The {{goal}} variable displays the remaining amount required to unlock the reward. The {{discount}} variable displays the configured discount value, such as 20% Off. Keeping these variables in the text ensures the message remains accurate when the discount setup changes.
Offer page title and subtitle
Use clear text such as “{{discount}} Discount” and “Add {{goal}} more to get a {{discount}} discount on this order.” This helps customers immediately understand the reward and the action needed to unlock it.

6. Edit Texts for Goal 3 - Free Shipping

Explanation
This popup controls all text for the Free Shipping milestone. It helps merchants communicate shipping incentives clearly inside the cart drawer and on the offer page.
Progress bar text
The before-goal message should tell customers how much more they need to add to get free shipping. The after-goal message should confirm that free shipping has been unlocked.
Below-bar and offer page text
The below-bar text can be kept simple, such as “Free Shipping!” The offer page title and subtitle should match the progress bar message so the customer sees a consistent reward message throughout the cart experience.
Best practice
Free shipping is often used as the final milestone because it encourages customers to increase cart value after they have already unlocked earlier rewards.

7. Targeting & Priority

Explanation
The Targeting & priority section defines which customers can see or use this Cart Goal campaign and how the campaign should be evaluated when multiple rules are active at the same time.
Customer target
The Customer target dropdown controls who the campaign applies to. If “All customers” is selected, every storefront visitor can see the campaign when the campaign is active and the other conditions are met.
Priority
Priority determines which rule is evaluated first when multiple active campaigns could apply. A higher priority number is evaluated first. This is useful when merchants have different cart goal campaigns for different audiences or promotions.

8. Settings

Explanation
The Settings section controls the campaign schedule, free gift display behavior, discount calculation behavior, and whether customers must choose a reward before checkout.
Active dates
The campaign start date and start time define when the campaign begins. The timezone is based on the browser timezone shown in the editor. Merchants can also set an end date when the campaign should stop automatically.
Free gift display
The “Showcase free gifts in cart below item list” option controls whether eligible free gift products are shown inside the cart drawer below the item list. Use Show when the merchant wants customers to clearly see available free gifts.
Discount impact on progress
The progress bar can use the cart total after subtracting other discounts or before other discounts. Selecting the correct option helps the merchant decide whether external discounts should reduce the customer progress toward cart goal rewards.
Mandatory reward selection
The “Is reward selection mandatory?” option controls whether customers must select an available reward before continuing. Choosing Yes is useful when the campaign depends on customers selecting a free product or reward from the offer flow.
