Free Product & Quantity

This document explains all configuration fields and steps inside the Free Product & Quantity tab of the CartLift app.
Note: In the screenshot above, only the Free Product & Quantity tab is active. All other tabs are blurred to maintain focus on this section.
1. Overview of Free Product & Quantity 
The Free Product & Quantity tab allows merchants to automatically reward customers with a free product when they reach a specific cart subtotal threshold.
This feature helps increase Average Order Value (AOV) by incentivizing higher spending.
2. Step-by-Step Field Explanation 
Step 1: Add Rule 
Click 'Add Rule' to create a new Free Product campaign.
Step 2: Enable Toggle 
Enable checkbox activates or deactivates the Free Product rule.
Step 3: Minimum Purchase (Rs) 
Set the cart subtotal required to unlock the free product.
Example: 3000 means the customer must spend ₹3000 to receive the gift.
Step 4: Gift Product Selection 
Click 'Select product' to choose which product will be given as a free reward.
Step 5: Quantity (Qty) 
Define how many units of the gift product will be added to the cart.
Step 6: Limit per Order 
Set maximum number of free gifts allowed per order.
Step 7: Rule Icon 
Choose an icon (e.g., Gift 🎁) that appears next to the progress bar preview.
3. Content Settings Section 
Text Above Preview (Before Goal) 
Displayed before the minimum purchase threshold is achieved.
Supports dynamic variable:
  • {{goal}} – Remaining amount required to unlock reward.
Example:
Add {{goal}} more to unlock a FREE Product 🎁
Text Above Preview (After Goal) 
Displayed after the threshold is achieved.
Example:
Congratulations! Your FREE Product is unlocked 🎉
Text Below Preview 
Optional supporting message shown below the progress bar.
Campaign Name 
Internal campaign name for tracking and analytics.
Cart Step 
Choose when the reward message appears (Cart Step 1, Checkout step, or None).
Save Rule 
Click 'Save Rule' to activate and apply the Free Product configuration.
4. Preview Panel Explanation 
The Preview panel shows a real-time simulation of the progress bar.
Use the slider to test: 
  • Before unlocking reward 
  • After unlocking free product
5. Related Shipping Types (Reference) 
Shipping Rules section supports two reward types: 
  • Free Shipping 
  • Reduced Shipping 
These are configured separately under the Shipping Rules tab.
6. Best Practices 
  • Offer small high-margin products as free gifts.
  • Keep threshold slightly above average cart value.
  • Combine with Free Shipping for stronger incentive.
  • Use attractive and clear reward messaging.
