Automatic Discounts

This document explains all fields, configuration steps, and preview settings inside the Automatic Discounts tab of the CartLift app.

Note: In the screenshot above, only the Automatic Discounts tab is active. Other tabs are blurred to maintain focus on this configuration section.

The Automatic Discounts tab allows merchants to create automatic cart-based discount rewards triggered by minimum purchase thresholds.

Unlike Shipping Rules (Free Shipping & Reduced Shipping), this section applies percentage or fixed discounts automatically when the customer meets conditions.

Click 'Add automatic rule' to create a new discount campaign.

Enable checkbox activates or deactivates the automatic discount rule.

Choose the type of discount: 

• Percentage (%) 
• Fixed amount (₹)

Define the discount value. 
Example: 10 means 10% discount on eligible products.

Set the cart subtotal required to unlock the discount. 
Example: 1000 means discount activates when cart reaches ₹1000.

Choose where the discount applies: 

• All products 
• Specific products 
• Collections

Select an icon (e.g., Tag icon) displayed near the progress bar or preview.

Displayed before the minimum purchase threshold is achieved. 
Supports dynamic variables: 

• {{goal}} – Remaining amount to unlock 
• {{discount_value_with_off}} – Discount with label

Example: 
Add {{goal}} more to unlock {{discount_value_with_off}} Discount!

Displayed after the discount condition is satisfied.

Example: 
Congratulations! {{discount_value}} off Discount!

Optional supporting message shown below the progress bar.

Internal campaign name used for analytics and tracking.

Choose when the discount appears (Cart Step 1, Checkout step, or None).

Click 'Save Rule' to activate and apply the automatic discount.

The Preview panel simulates how the discount progress bar appears in the cart drawer.

Use the slider to adjust subtotal value and test: 

• Before reaching threshold 
• After unlocking discount

Shipping Rules support two reward types: 

• Free Shipping 
• Reduced Shipping 

 
Automatic Discounts instead provide cart-level price reductions.
